Karen A. Wyle is a Bloomington-based author, appellate attorney, photographer, and mother of two. A Connecticut native turned Hoosier, she writes thoughtful, compassionate fiction spanning historical romance, historical fiction, fantasy, and science fiction, along with picture books and nonfiction informed by her legal background.
Her Cowbird Creek historical romance series includes What Heals the HeartWhat Frees the HeartWhat Shows the Heart, and What Wakes the Heart. Set in post–Civil War America, these novels explore love, recovery, faith, and second chances among a community of deeply human characters. Wyle’s work often centers on themes of family, communication, and the lingering impact of unfinished business.

Wendy Teller is a Bloomington-area author who writes fiction, memoir, and history. Her work has appeared in Chicken Soup for the SoulThe Ryder MagazineThe Naperville Sun, and Rivulets, and her story Dusting the Towels received the Richard Eastman Prose Award. Wendy lives near Bloomington with her husband, science fiction and fantasy author Richard F. Weyand. 
She is the author of the Hungarian TrilogyHungarian RhapsodyHungarian Elegy, and Hungarian Legacy—which follows Ella, a determined young woman fighting for independence and women’s rights in early twentieth-century Hungary amid political upheaval, war, and social change. The series traces Ella’s journey from resisting an arranged marriage to navigating revolution, World War I, and the struggle to protect her family and ideals in a rapidly changing world.

The $65 class fee includes all materials, expert instruction, and three hours of guided learning in a small group setting—so you can leave ready to start your first crochet project on your own.
